Not legal advice

PeNotary LLC is a Georgia mobile notary practice — not a law firm. Nothing on this website or said during an appointment constitutes legal, tax, or financial advice. Consult a licensed attorney for questions about document substance, vesting, or transaction structure.

Scope of notarial acts

A Georgia notary verifies identity of signers and completes acknowledgments or jurats according to the certificate language on each document. Notaries do not choose certificate wording, alter document terms, or advise whether a signer should execute an instrument.

Real property transactions

PeNotary does not act as closing counsel for real property transactions. Under O.C.G.A. § 15-19-51, closings on real property in Georgia are the practice of law and must be handled by a licensed Georgia attorney. PeNotary may perform notarial certificates at attorney-directed appointments only.

Insurance & credentials

PeNotary maintains errors & omissions coverage appropriate to mobile notary work. Georgia commission holders carry E&O insurance rather than marketing a separate surety bond — our credentials reflect commission status and insurer coverage only.
